Fragaria - The Strawberry Gown

Another dress card! Fragaria is the Latin name for strawberry. Wikipedia said so! And it sounds cooler than “strawberry” anyway.

A year or so ago, I started designing dresses revolving around the theme of…ice cream and gelato flavors. LOL right? Anyways, that’s why this design is paler than the actual shade of a strawberry – I was thinking of strawberry gelato (fragola, which doesn’t sound as pretty as fragaria), which as we know is usually a pale pink and sometimes studded with bits of dark red.

Still not happy with coloring on this one. This is my traditional style, and it doesn’t translate well to the scanner. I started shading all the folds on the dress, but I ended up erasing everything because it didn’t look great. So the bottom half is just a (relatively) flat color. I might fix it later.
If you have any tips on coloring with colored pencils, please let me know! (And yes, I am looking at tutorials.)
